About us
Bloody Movie Productions was founded in the end of 1998 by three young men, Filip Carlson, Max Jönsson and Karl Baron. It is a a low-budget film producing company based in the south of Sweden, north of Helsingborg, in a little place called Viken. The guys started to make short films back in 1998 but it took them two years to come up with any good name.
In the beginning everything was very simple. The editing equipment was simply a VCR, a CD-player, a video camera (that wasn't even thir own), and a stone-age computer on which they made the credits. The actors got to use thir own clothes and the set was just a nearby street. But with every new film a step has been taken. For a recent production for example, Kill the Zombies II, they have the ability to use three fast computers with Adobe Premiere on them, one computer with Commotion, a digital videocamera, special clothes for the actors and all kinds of new props and special effects. For their latest production, they have even upgraded to the professional Final Cut Pro video editing software. This is because they now are willing to spend a little bit more money on their films.
Max Jönsson and Filip Carlson write the scripts and direct the films. Since this is a low-budget company they do pretty much everything else on the set also. And when it's time to do the post-production, Karl and Filip are the ones who go to work. Together the three of them operate the camera based on who's on stage and Karl even gets to say his opinion when on the set.
These three men never produce their movies to sell them and make money. But if they got the chance to go professional, I believe they would do it.
