KtZ: Kill the Zombies II: The trivia

The original score was written by Josh Jones

The title of the film during the entire production was "Kill the Zombies II: Experiment Evil". But shortly before the film's release the title was changed.

Pernilla Ringstrm, playing Alex is the sister of director Filip Carlson.

Originally the word "zombie" was never mentioned (other than in the title), as a reference to Night of the Living Dead. But when the script was changed and some of the lines needed to change as well the word was used. Now it is mentioned only once, when Kyle says "That's when they turn into zombies".

The original script had more gore and explicit scenes. For example there was another zombie in the lab. After Brian had been killed by Father this zombie would start to feed on Brian's feet. Later, after shooting Kyle, Robert would step up to the zombie and crush it's head with the rifle. This scene was later cut out of the script and was never shot.

Frank's screams in the "gut-burst scene" are dubbed.

During the entire writing process the writers hadn't decided if Alex was a man or a woman.

Before the final casting other alternatives were considered, using the same actors but for different parts. Gustaf Sundwall (Kyle) was considered for the part of Alex (before it was decided that she was female). Max Jnsson (Robert) was considered as Father, Kim kesson (one of the caged zombies) as Robert and Filip Carlson (Father) for the part of Kyle Natas.

The wine that the friends have in their glasses is not wine. It's water with food coloring. Karl Baron spilled some on the table cloth.

The steak on the table is not cooked.

Just above Kyle's fireplace is a poster from another Bloody Movie Production, Cold Steel.

Though the friends are supposed to have gone to elementary school together, the age difference between some of the actors is 12 years!

This is the second BMP-picture in which Filip Carlson plays the father of Gustaf Sundwall, the first one being the never completed Slaughter Killer. In real life the two are the same age.

The scene where Robert stabs a zombie in the face, who stumbles backwards, puts his hands to his face and moans, is an obvious reference to a similar scequence in The Night of the Living Dead. In that scene the main character Ben whacks a zombie in the face, who then stumbles backwards, puts his hands to his face and moans.

The film includes a number of references to other motion pictures. Lines are copied directly from "Planet of the Apes", "Highlander 4: Endgame", "Mortal Kombat", "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "From Dusk Till Dawn". Some of them are hardly noticable, while others are very obviously borrowed. Robert's "Take your stinking paws off her you damn dirty freak" is a great example! See the table below for more info.

Original film: Original line: KtZII line:
Planet of the Apes George Taylor: Keep your stinkig paws off me you damn dirty ape! Robert Downey: Keep your stinking paws off her you damn dirty freak.
